With the efforts and following the invitation of the KG Rot-Weisse Garde, a big carnival was held in Bad Driburg in a pleasant afternoon on February 19th. In this carnival hundreds of people with different and special clothes and special makeup as the main members in small groups were riding dozens of cars and some others were walking the main streets.
Thousands of enthusiasts from Bad Driburg and other nearby towns of all ages lined the streets to see the carnival. A number of spectators were also present with clothes and makeup of fictional and animated characters. Friendship, intimacy, and happiness were the main elements of this carnival. The organizers called it a joyful event. It is appropriate to mention the slogan of the first president of KG Rot-Weisse Garde, Fritz Poetschke that he said ” There is nothing more beautiful in life than to give other people joy”.
